Toby Turner – YouTube Obsession #1
I admit it. I’m obsessed. With YouTube.
I’m subscribed to about 150 channels… yeah. I’m a little crazy. But it’s a healthy obsession. It’s not like I neglect my real life for watching YouTube videos… Well, I might a little bit but that’s not that bad. :p
Moving on, I’m starting a mini series here featuring my favorite YouTubers and why I like them. Today, it’s Toby Turner aka Tobuscus.
This dude is so super funny and cute. I love how he calls his viewers “the audience.” It’s like we are a collective group that he enjoys talking to every day. And he does video blog, every single day from his iPhone. It’s a genius idea. He keeps his audience captivated with little insider jokes and fan mail. Did I mention he’s cute? You know I have a thing for dorks. 
Love it when he says: Bless Your Face, Audience?, Intro of Darkness then Redness then Whiteness, HotHotHotHot, What you doin’ girl, Grifsor, and BOOOOOP!
Not only does Toby post a daily vlog, he also makes production quality videos: Cute Win Fail, Animated Shorts, Literal Trailer Songs. 
He even got mentioned in Forbes Magazine in this article: http://www.forbes.com/sites/haydnshaughnessy/2012/01/19/tim-tebow-and-the-growth-of-spreadshirts-apparel-business/. I mean, this is 27 year old man who has made a living out of entertaining a large group of people on YouTube. I might be in love.

My Buffy Collection
For my birthday, my boyfriend Everett got me a ton of Buffy related items. He went kinda overboard. And now, I’m a true true fan of Buffy!

Josh Groban – Straight To You Tour 2011
I wanted to begin this blog post by mentioning how Josh Groban took my concert virginity BUUUUTTT… Someone pointed out that I did see a Celtic Woman concert two years ago and apparently that counts for something. Yes, I’m pouting. Josh will forever be #1 in my heart.
I’m sad to say that I cannot remember the name of the guy who opened for Josh Groban because he had some talent. He covered some popular songs from Diary of Jane to Georgia On My Mind but he used the piano in very unconventional ways, such as putting his hand inside the strings section and plucking them. His stage presence also captured my attention because he stood in such a strange stance during his entire performance. 
Hopefully this picture will kinda show what I’m talking about. Sometimes, he would throw his head back too, just creating this entertaining stage personality. It made me giggle.
Josh Groban really knows his audience and he was surprisingly funny and engaging. He walked through the audience, shaking hands and talking with them. Of course, he only walked through the crowd in the $300 seats… I might be bitter. He also had a Q & A where audience members texted in their questions and he answered some. Of course, he only answered those questions that came from the $300 again. One lady even got to sing a duet with him. 
I have never been so envious of a person in my life. At my next Josh concert, I must have the $300 seats so that I can fulfill my life long dream of singing a duet with him… and sit on stage with him while he sings to me.
Overall, I really enjoyed this concert. I love love love love Josh Groban and going to this concert just made me love him more.

I love Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. It’s sooo funny! And it’s a musical…. for dorks!! The first time I saw it was at Dragon-Con (see the first year here and the second year here, and here, and here) and everyone was singing along with every word… it was awesome! If you haven’t seen this yet, it’s definitely on Netflix, so you don’t have an excuse.
I even follow Felicia Day and Neil Patrick Harris on twitter . That is actually how I found out about the Dr. Horrible Book. I need it. In my life. Now. Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog: The Book is available on Amazon for $11.97.

Brother Going to China
My brother has the awesomely amazing opportunity to travel to China with his school for 10 days to study in Chinese schools. 
He is the first black American student to be sent to China from his county school system. Pretty amazing, huh? Yup… that’s my brother.
